Graduates of Vanguard University School of Medicine (VUSOM) will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of normal human development, structure, and function from the molecular to whole-body level, recognizing how disease, injury, and dysfunction impact body systems. They will integrate core biological principles and disease mechanisms to effectively diagnose and manage medical cases while considering the epidemiological impact of diseases on public health. Additionally, they will understand how behavioral, cultural, economic, environmental, and social factors influence patient care and overall well-being.
Graduates of Vanguard University School of Medicine (VUSOM) will possess the knowledge and skills to obtain comprehensive patient and population histories, conduct safe and thorough examinations, and select, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures effectively. They will be proficient in choosing and administering appropriate therapeutic interventions while assessing disease outcomes and quality of life. Additionally, they will be equipped to control disease outbreaks, promote optimal health and well-being, and implement preventive measures to safeguard both individual and public health.
