A minimum of 90 credit (or equivalent) and the completion of the courses below are required prior to matriculation.
Biology –one academic year or equivalent. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement.
General/Inorganic Chemistry –one academic year or equivalent. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement.
General Physics – one academic term. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement.
Behavioral Science –one academic term. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement. An Introduction to Sociology or Psychology would fulfill this requirement.
Mathematics –one semester of college-level mathematics (trigonometry or analytic geometry), precalculus, or statistics is highly recommended.
English –two non-science/non-foreign language courses that involve expository writing will satisfy this requirement.
Prerequisite courses should be completed no more than 10 years prior to the date of application. Prerequisite courses taken more than 10 years prior to the date of application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) scores are required for U.S. applicants (and encouraged for all applicants). Scores must be from exams taken within the last 10 years.MCAT results can be released to the admissions department directly from the AAMC website. Affiliate Institution waivers are acceptable, where applicable, through program assessment.
An access code for the release of certified test results is requested from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). The MCAT requirement is not applicable for transfer applicants.
