Our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at Vanguard University is designed to provide an affordable, hands-on, and personalized education that equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to serve as healthcare leaders within their communities.

Our 4-year MD program prepares students for global medical practice by incorporating a holistic admissions process and adhering to U.S. medical school standards. As an accredited institution, we offer small class sizes, early clinical exposure, and a curriculum that supports graduates’ readiness for licensure in the U.S., Canada, and beyond. Our mission is to ensure that every student receives a strong foundation on their path to becoming skilled, licensed physicians.
Biology –one academic year or equivalent. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement.
General/Inorganic Chemistry –one academic year or equivalent. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement.
General Physics - one academic term. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement.
Behavioral Science –one academic term. Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy this requirement. An Introduction to Sociology or Psychology would fulfill this requirement.
Mathematics –one semester of college-level mathematics (trigonometry or analytic geometry), precalculus, or statistics is highly recommended.
English –two non-science/non-foreign language courses that involve expository writing will satisfy this requirement.
