Master of Science in Nursing

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program at Vanguard University School of Medicine (VUSOM), applicants must meet the following criteria:


General Admission Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a recognized university
  • A valid nursing license to practice
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of bedside nursing experience
  • A Certificate of Employment (for currently employed candidates)
  • Successful completion of an admission interview

Transfer Students

VUSOM welcomes students who have previously been enrolled in public health, health sciences, paramedical science, life sciences, or social work programs at other recognized universities. Transfer students must meet the following conditions:

  • Maximum of 30 transferable credits (for master’s-level courses)
  • Successful completion of an assessment examination and panel interview
  • Education gap not exceeding 10 years
