We are excited to support you on your journey toward earning a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Vanguard University School of Medicine. Applications are processed through PharmCAS, but admissions decisions are made by our College of Pharmacy.

PharmD Prerequisites

Before enrolling, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Prerequisites do not need to be completed at the time of application.
  • A minimum grade of “C” must be achieved in all prerequisite courses.
  • Courses cannot be double-counted—each course fulfills only one requirement.
  • At least one year of pre-pharmacy coursework must be completed in the United States or Canada.
  • Coursework must be from an accredited institution in the U.S. or Canada.
